12 : Freakin' 4 Day Weeken' by David Hernandez

All the initial drawing has been completed for the RV drawing. Now the next couple of weeks will be filled with inking and making small adjustments as the piece is completed.

This weekend was also exciting as I, along with the rest of the school district, had a four day weekend! I've included some shots of the weekend that was, including a tipping Sonic and something I like to call "Wrestlers from Far Away". Got to see some good friends, and we all survived the worst highway driving conditions I have been a part of.

11 : Snow Day by David Hernandez

The text has now been transferred onto the wood, and the piece is taking on more of a comic book vibe. This week, ink will be added and things should really begin to pop.

Also, the winter that will not end continues to not end, as a result another snow day. But, this did provide for an opportunity to explore the local cemetery and get some pretty cool shots. Bonus shots: Mona Cat Loaf and my apartment's new Pops yoga ball. Enjoy and Liv-ez-ey.

9 : The RV Rounds Into Form by David Hernandez

This week the piece really began to take form. Keeping with the Spider-Man theme started with the Perez Family banner, a header and some caption bubbles will be added to include the family's members and hometown (along with a few important dates thrown into the comic book i.d. numbers).

I hope to transfer the header information onto the wood this upcoming week.

Included are a few photos from inside my drawing den. The cold is beautiful, yet brutal.  My cracking hands cannot wait for spring.

8 : An Update on the RV by David Hernandez

Oh how cold it was this week, and it doesn't seem to be letting up. Perfect weather for coffee, good music, and getting work done.

The pencil drawing for the RV is complete, and I am now going to be focused on adding text to surround it.

I can't explain how much fun I have, planning out the layout of fonts. This week gave me a chance to begin measuring and make sketches on the family's name, using the font from The Amazing Spider-Man as reference.

More text as the week progresses. And now for something warm.
